Hammer Lectures: Mindful Awareness Sessions

April 18, 2010 at 5:13 PM Leave a comment

Mindful Awareness is the moment-by-moment process of actively and openly observing one’s physical, mental and emotional experiences. Mindfulness has scientific support as a means to reduce stress, improve attention, boost the immune system, reduce emotional reactivity, and promote a general sense of health and well-being.

The free weekly “drop-in” session will be led by UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center’s Director of Mindfulness Education Diana Winston and Dr. Marvin Belzer, a visiting professor from Bowling Green, a 20 year teacher/practitioner and our In-Resident Mindfulness Teacher.

Sessions are every Thursday April 22nd to May 27th at 7pm.  Sessions are open to all who are interested in learning how to ‘live more presently’ in life. No special clothing is required.
