UCLA Public Health Week is an annual program organized by the Students of Color for Public Health to raise campus-wide awareness about the role of public health in promoting healthy populations, to address current public health issues locally and abroad, and to involve the UCLA community in public health service. This year’s theme, in coordination with the National Public Health Week 2011 from April 4-8, is “Safety is No Accident, Live Injury Free”. However, in conjunction with that, the Students of Color for Public Health (SCPH)  theme is Art is Healing-Promoting Complimentary and Alternative Medicine in Public Health . We will have programs involving speaker seminars and networking events based on this theme. In addition, we will bring in local high school students to gain exposure to public health.

Wednesday Schedule:
Steve Stone for Acupuncture (12-1pm, Center for Health Sciences 13-105)
Diana Winston for Mindful Awareness (2-3pm, Center for Health Sciences 41-235)
Ping Ho for Movement Therapy (3-4pm, Center for Health Sciences 41-235)
Shai Feldman for Yoga/Meditation (5-6pm, Center for Health Sciences 41-235)
